Why does my meter need to be changed?

For safety reasons, we'll need to change your gas and electricity meters when they reach a certain age (this varies based on the make and model of the meter). There's no charge for this.

When your meter is due to be exchanged, either our meter operator UWHS or external company SMS will contact you, either by phone or letter, to let you know. If you've received a letter, it should also give you a number to call to book an appointment. If you have any questions, just contact us.
